co-educational boarding on campus

welcome to boarding

With the advantage of wide-open campuses, fresh air and unrivalled space to thrive, Scots All Saints has proven it can support regional and rural boarding students with a safe, secure and continuous learning environment which is closer to home, centrally located in the growing regional town of Bathurst, NSW.

Boarding is an integral part of the fabric of the Scots All Saints community. With a longstanding tradition as a boarding school, the College has a deep understanding of the unique responsibilities of supporting our students and creating a family atmosphere to develop young boys and girls of purpose.

Recent changes in the boarding structure have led to the foundation of an exciting entrance into the 2021 academic year.  Full-time, weekly and short-term boarding accommodation is available to girls and boys from Years 7 – 12 in Bathurst, conveniently located on campus so students can walk to class and participate in before and after school programs. Senior School Campus houses Senior School boarders (Years 7 – 12).

new weekly and casual boarding

Weekly boarding is now an additional option from 2021. This gives students and families the opportunity to board during the week and return home on a Friday afternoon after classes cease at 3:15pm. Boarders are able to return Sunday afternoon.

In addition, to weekly boarding, casual boarding is now an option to help students achieve the most from their educational journey at school.

academic excellence

The College prides itself on academic excellence with outstanding consistent results in the HSC as the top performing school in the Central West in 2020. This is a positive outcome of a collaborative learning community and support at all levels for students. We offer specialist facilities, caring, experienced teachers, a diverse offering of co-curricular opportunities, a choice of elective subjects with a timetable to cater to individual student preferences.

student wellbeing and pastoral care

Scots All Saints College is delighted to be the first school in the Central West to introduce Positive Psychology as a new approach to learning and living at school. We believe it will be a game changer in the lives of our students providing the skills and attitudes to overcome setbacks, develop a growth mindset and the patience and persistence to achieve goals.

Outstanding pastoral care and a strong sense of community are vital for our College community. This is why Scots All Saints College has adopted a new ethos of Positive Psychology in the way students, parents and teachers interact to build ‘mental fitness’ for school and for life.

Catering to boarding families for both boys and girls, allows siblings to stay together which is also a big plus in terms of nurturing and support between families and the convenience of all children in one location. Parents and students are comforted by the safe, secure environment and outstanding care by Residential House Mothers and the dedicated boarding team.

careers development

Our Careers Development Officer is readily available to provide ongoing advice to students through career options, personal strengths and aptitudes, work experience, study skills and help with university applications.

Our students are supported individually based on their academic needs through learning support or extension in and out of the classroom via the Independent Learning Centre (ILC). An ‘After School Homework Centre’ is available every Monday afternoon for all students.
